Backgrounds: Mutiplicity of papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) are not an unusual finding, although the origin of these foci is unclear. Either intraglandular metastases from a single dominant tumor or unrelated neoplastic clones were definitively proven as the means by which multicentric PTC form.
